рефатThe Russian Federation is preparing two lawsuits against the Crimean Tatars. The chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov said that, depo.ua reports.

“Now there are two legal suits being prepared against the Crimean Tatars in Crimea,” he said.

He explained that lawsuits are related to the events of February 26, 2014, when Crimean Tatars organized a large meeting near the Crimean Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council)

Having said this, Chubarov stressed that the meeting was held on compelling legal grounds, when Crimea was under the jurisdiction of Ukraine.

Another lawsuit is related to the events of May 3, 2014, when more than 2.5 thousand Crimean Tatars came to the administrative border with mainland Ukraine to meet the Crimean Tatar leader Mustafa Dzhemilev.

“Now every Crimean Tatar may face a reprisal,” Chubarov warned.
