Refat Chubarov, the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people expressed concerns about fate of the deputy head of the Mejlis Akhmet Chiygoza, who has been detained today.  He wrote about that on his page in Facebook.

“Just like you all, I worry about Akhmet Chiygoza. Together with colleagues in Kiev we are trying to follow and cover in media all the details of the despotism of the occupation authorities towards the Crimean Tatars.  We get in touch with embassies and heads of missions of international organizations, assist journalists of many TV channels and other media resources to cover the arrest of Akhmet Chiygoza,”  Chubarov wrote.

The head of the Mejlis considers that occupants of Crimea started to arrange repressions against the Crimean Tatar people and Mejlis members in the first line. “New round of repressions against activists of the Crimean Tatar national movement began in Crimea. It is clear that, as always, the main strike was directed at the Mejlis and its members.”
