Charges have be put on against two residents of Sevastopol because of posts in VK

вконтактеThe Investigation Committee of the Russian Federation in Sevastopol accused two local residents of “incitement of ethnic hatred” in the VK social network because of posts about the Caucasians. The press service of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee informed about that.

Thus, according to the press service, a 20 years old resident of the Balaklava district registered a community in VK under an antinational slogan in January 2013. He posted video- photo- and audio materials that, according to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, stirred up hatred towards the Caucasians and Asians there.

In addition, a friend of the Sevastopol resident took part at filling the community with content.

A criminal case under Part 1, Art. 282 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation was initiated against the Crimeans. In particular, the sanction of the article provides imprisonment up to 5 years.
