In Crimea annexed by Russia, the number of road traffic victims increased by 46.8% compared to 2013.
In particular, the number of road traffic victims increased by 97 people over 10 months in 2016 (from 207 in 2013 to 304 in 2016). The number of injured persons increased from 1527 to 2318 people (by 51%).
Moreover, the number of victims among children increased as well: 8 children were killed as a result of road accidents in January-October 2013 and 12 – in the same period in 2016 (by 1.5 times), the number of injured children increased from 178 to 249 (by 1.4 times).
