Sergey Aksenov, the “head” of Crimea, said that they didn’t plan to restore the Ukrainian TV and radio broadcasting on the peninsula. He said this responding to the statement of Yuriy Stec, the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine, KrymMedia reports.

“Today Crimea won’t work on the restoration of Ukrainian broadcasting in the territory of the republic. It is the end of story. The Ukrainian officials planned a lot of things earlier and do that now. Unfortunately or fortunately, these plans have never been implemented. Therefore, to my mind, it is absolutely crazy and stupid idea,” Aksenov said.

At the same time, he said that, perhaps, the TV channel that Stec was talking about will work via satellite.

“If only some satellite will broadcast at some frequencies somehow,” the “head” added.
