As the result of the prosecutor’s inspection of gas stations in Sevastopol, 294 violations were detected, 163 administrative offence cases were opened and fines in the amount of 7 million rubles (2.7 million hryvnyas at the NBU exchange rate) were imposed. The press service of the Sevastopol “prosecutor’s office” reported about that.
“97 legal persons and officials were held administratively liable to fines totaling more than 7 million rubles. In addition, directors of economic entities were passed on 40 recommendations and 34 of them have been considered and satisfied. 31 accused persons were subjected to disciplinary action,” the press service of the “prosecutor’s office” informed.
The main claim was against gas stations – sale of low-quality fuel.
“Sulfur content exceeding was detected in gasoline and diesel fuel. According to provided facts, the prosecutor’s office issued five orders on institution of administrative offence cases under Art.14.43 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses (violation of technical regulation requirements), which were sent to examine the merits of the case to territorial departments of the Rosstandart (Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology),” the agency’s press service says.
In addition, violations of fire safety and sanitary-epidemiological legislation were detected as well.
As a reminder, the conducted examination found that low-quality gasoline and diesel fuel were sold in Crimea.
