In Feodosia carriers working on suburban and cross-town routes refused to carry children at a discount of 50 per cent. The head of the Feodosia transport department Yuriy Brynza informed about that, the media15 minutes reports.
According to Brynza, the repeal of benefits caused a flow of complaints to the city transport department. Discounts on transportation of children of 7 to 12 years in minibuses are not provided legally. Earlier the Feodosia carriers transported children on their own initiative.
“Since the Charter of motor transport prescribed the children carriage in two ways, due to the large number of complaints on the children transportation, we consulted with the Ministry of Transport and transport departments of other cities. As a result, we have the following situation: children of seven years and upward have to pay the full fare in urban and suburban transport vehicles. Passengers under 7 years of age accompanied by an adult can use public transport services for free without providing a seating,” Yuriy Brynza explained.
