In Crimea they struggle with queues on the “border” and promise to punish unskilled customs officers

Large queues at the Crimean “border checkpoints” are a result of unskilled work of customs office heads. On March 16, the “head” of Crimea Sergiy Aksenov informed the journalists in Simferopol about that.

He said that the “government” of Crimea monitors the situation on the “border” between the peninsula and Ukraine every day. “When people are waiting in line for six-seven days – it is simply unacceptable situation and this is the problem of unskilled work of chiefs. First and foremost, it is a matter of the vicious reasoning of the head, who deals directly with this case,” Aksenov emphasized.

Crimean “prime-minister” is sure that the local “authorities” have all opportunities to resolve the situation. “We will cope with the situation, moreover, we will reach the point where department heads, who are not able to resolve the situation there and then, will be removed,” Aksenov stressed. He added that additional number of specialists is prepared to be sent at the checkpoints: “These measures are taken now, additional landing personnel is preparing to come this week.”

As a reminder, there are large queues of cars on the administrative border between Crimea and Ukraine for several weeks.
