Ukrainian border guards imposed administrative sanctions on 253 foreigners for illegal entry to temporarily occupied Crimea in January-May 2016.
The press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (GPSU) reported about that.
“We imposed liability on 12% more foreigners (253 persons) over 5 months this year than over the past year (225). Most of protocols were drawn up against citizens of Russia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Uzbekistan,” the report says.
According to the border guards, foreigners may enter the temporarily occupied peninsula only through “Kalanchak”, “Chaplynka” and “Chongar” checkpoints of entry / exit.
The procedure of entry to Crimea is defined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers #367 dated June 4, 2015.
