Flights to Crimea and Sochi significantly fell in price amid the general increase in for domestic air travel. The representative of the Aviasales online flight ticket search engine Janis Dzenis told TASS about that.
“Beach” destinations really become cheaper. But price reduction for air tickets to Sochi, Crimea and other tourist routes comes with the transport cost increase for other destinations,” Dzenis said.
In particular, according to the search engine, the lowest ticket price for Moscow – Sochi – Moscow amounted to 5.59 thousand rubles in June against 15 thousand rubles last year. Flight tickets Omsk-Simferopol fell in price by 59% in one year, but at the same time prices for air services from Omsk to other Russian cities increased dramatically: Omsk citizens have to pay 77% more than last year to fly to Moscow.
