Crimean gamers have been blocked from accessing the games

играThe American company Electronic Arts (EA) blocked the access to its games and also to the Origin digital distribution store for the Crimean users. Krym Media informs about that.

Starting the end of February, the Crimeans, who purchased licensed copies of Battlefield 4, FIFA 15, The Sims 4 and other games, can’t get access to the Electronic Arts servers. If they try to enter the game, the program shows the message: “Network authorization is temporarily unavailable.”

As the company’s technical support department informed the Krym Media agency, the access to the EA services is temporarily restricted in the territory of Crimea.

As a reminder, since January 2015 a number of international companies informed users about the inability to continue the further cooperation because of the sanctions. Google introduced a range of significant restrictions: the Google AdSense service stopped working in Crimea, Google blocked the download of updates for its browser Chrome and limited access to the Google Play store for the Crimeans. The international financial services PayPal and Payoneer also stopped to provide services for the residents of Crimea. The largest American online store in the world Amazon required the Crimean clients to remove their accounts. The largest American IT-companies Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Dell prohibited their partners to supply equipment and software in Crimea.
