The Crimean Tatar Flag Day is celebrated annually on June 26.
“The organizing committee offers the compatriots to promote the Crimean Tatar national symbols as much as possible by hoisting the Crimean Tatar flags, decorating the cars with it and using the elements of national symbols in clothes on the eve of June 26 and after this date with the purpose of people’s unity and raising the public spirit,” the organizers’ message says.
Also, it is stated there that the organizing committee applied to the Simferopol “administration” for three times and got the same number of refusals to hold the events.
In this connection, the organizing committee announced that they wouldn’t hold any public events on June 26. However, they noted that there would be the competitions traditionally organized during the celebration of the Crimean Tatar Flag Day, such as quest, photo contest, children’s paintings contest, festival of audiovisual works. It was promised to inform about the place of events later.
