Fruits and vegetables became more expensive in Crimea

ovoshivkrimyAccording to “Krymstat” (Federal State Statistics Service of Crimea), consumer prices grew up by 11.7% in January-February 2015. Vegetables and fruits have risen in price the most – by 46.%7 and 34.1% correspondingly.

Groceries became more expensive by 15.3%. In particular, non-alcoholic beverages took a jump by 15%, eggs – by 14.3%, alcoholic drinks – by 13,7%, fishery products, butter and oil – by 13.3%, milk and dairy – by 12.9%, sugar – by 12.5%, macaroni and groats products  – by 12.3%. Price increase for processed meat reached 11%, 10.5% and 8.9% – for bakery products and confectionery products correspondingly.

The biggest increase in price among non-grocery goods was recorded for perfumes and cosmetics – by 16.2%, wash and cleaners – by 13.5%,  medical goods – by 11.7%,  construction supplies – by 9.6% and furniture – by 9.5%.

Clothes and underwear became more expensive by 6.5%, leather, textile and compound shoes – by 4.1%.

The cost of intermediary and consumer services increased by 26.7% and 13.8% correspondingly, public transportation services – by 11.4%, medical services – by 9.7%, veterinary services – by 8.9%, utility services – by 7.3%.

As a reminder, the cost of minimal set of food amounted 3305, 04 RUR (1274,46 UAH at the NBU exchange rate on March 24, 2015) for one person as of February 2015.
