initiated the criminal case against the Ukrainian citizen Refat Chubarov for the appeals to change the territorial integrity of Russia in the mass media. Kryminform reports about that quoting the “prosecutor” of Crimea Natalya Poklonskaya.
“The investigative department of the FSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea initiated criminal proceedings against Chubarov, who appealed for some actions aimed at changing the territorial integrity of the state. The case is pending now, investigators will adopt proceeding decisions against Chubarov under the investigation process,” she said.
Poklonskaya specified that the case was initiated under Article 280.1 – pubic appeals for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation. Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides imprisonment up to five years.
According to Poklonskaya, Refat Chubarov will be put on the wanted list after instituting criminal proceedings.
