чалыйThe “head” of the Sevastopol Legislative Assembly Aleksey Chaly believes that the conducted nationalization violates the Constitution of the Russian Federation that guarantees the inviolability of private property. He said that in the interview to Interfax.

“There is the constitutional provision that protects private property. I’m sorry, comrades, but what Legislative Assembly will we have when it violates the Constitution by its local laws? It is not even federal laws, it is the Constitution! This is totally inappropriate, even if you really want it,” Chaly said.

According to the “head” of the Legislative Assembly, the arrival of investors to the city is not to be expected as a result of this city’s policy.

“I was engaged in negotiations with a large number of clients a year ago. But, unfortunately, today I can’t advise them: “Guys, come to Sevastopol.” I don’t know. I won’t advise businessmen to come to Sevastopol until we build a truly open cooperation between government and business,” Chaly emphasized.

As a reminder, on February 28, 13 enterprises, including the Sevastopol Marine Plant owned by the President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko, were nationalized in Sevastopol.
