Electricity tariffs in Crimea will be raised more than three-fold by 2017 in order “to bring them to the economically justified level.” The Chairman of “the State Committee” on Prices and Rates of Crimea Olga Igoshina announced that at a press conference, Krymedia informs.
According to her, the electricity prices for the population raised by 15% starting January 1, 2015, and another rise by 15% will be on July 1, 2015.
“The economically justified electricity tariff is more than 5 rubles, even closer to 6 rubles. Now it is only 1.5 rubles,” “the chairman” of the committee explained.
Igoshina clarified that tariffs will be raised twice a year till 2017 to bring them to the economically justified level.
