школа1Crimean schoolchildren who received the Russian secondary school certificate when graduating the school can’t enter Ukrainian universities. The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Inna Sovsun informed about that, Krym.Realii reports.

“The only option today is to attach to an institution of general education in Ukraine, pass examinations and enter by means of external independent testing. Last year we carried out the replacement procedure of certificates issued there with the Ukrainian ones. Both certificates and university diplomas. However, the situation was a little different in the past. Last year the graduation took place just two months after the occupation,” Sovsun explained.

According to her, today Crimeans had a chance to finish school without attending lectures. The same goes for the schoolchildren of the Donbass.

“Certificates were issued by the schools formed by non-recognized authorities. In accordance with international law and Ukrainian legislation as well as in line with the law on the status of temporarily occupied territories, these documents are invalid,” Sovsun said.
