The tourist flow to Crimea was 630 thousand people from January 1 to June 1. The former “Minister of Resorts and Tourism” of Crimea Elena Yurchenko said about that, the press service of the Crimean Ministry of Resorts reports.
According to her, a great part of the tourist flow, that is 60%, chose the Southern coast of Crimea – the Greater Yalta and the Greater Alushta – as a traditional holiday place.
“Perhaps, this is not by accident, because the Greater Yalta is the All-Soviet Union health resort, where people came to improve their health and receive treatment in sanatoriums, in the memory of patriotic Russians, there are also many sightseeing attractions, which are interesting for tourists,” Yurchenko said.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea expects about 4.3 million tourists in 2015 season.
