The Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP) appealed to a range of international organizations (UN, OSCE) and the heads of the states to stop the persecution of the Ukrainians in Crimea, the newspaper “Voice of Crimea” reports.
“…on behalf of our religious community and on behalf of the Ukrainians of Crimea, I appeal to the international community to promptly do everything possible to help the Ukrainians of Crimea protect their national rights and prevent the exclusion from their native land and assimilation,” the Archbishop wrote.
As a reminder, the local “authorities” held the auction, in the result of which the UOC-KP parishioners were deprived of the church premise.
