In Sevastopol, 19 of 52 recreation destinations by the water are not ready for the summer season.
The acting head of the civil protection department Igor Vasilyev said that at the operational meeting of the Sevastopol government on Monday, July 6.
“17 territories, including 4 city beaches, out of 52 public recreation places by the water are fully prepared and passed the inspection. 3 city beaches and 16 recreation places will present their territory today,” Vasilyev said. According to him, “19 territories are not prepared, it is mostly the public recreation destinations by the water in the Nakhimov district”.
Earlier, on June 8, the head of the municipal service department Oleg Kazurin said that the previous Sevastopol Legislative Assembly didn’t include funds to prepare seven city beaches for the holiday season in the city budget of 2015 at the operational meeting.
“We have big problems. The first one is financing. Financing for beaches wasn’t determined by the previous Legislative Assembly. Therefore, being aware of that, the governor allocated 16.3 billion rubles from the reserve fund to prepare the beaches,” Kazurin said.
In Sevastopol, the start of the summer season was postponed for June 15 because of a lack of funding for measures to prepare city beaches this year.
