Russian authorities of Crimea hope to improve the results of the holiday season on the peninsula by strengthening measures to ensure public order. This was discussed during the session of the permanent coordination meeting of law enforcement in Crimea.
As the press service of the Crimean Russian government reports, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in Crimea Oleg Belaventsev “made special mention of the high level of interaction between law enforcement agencies and executive bodies of the Republic of Crimea at all levels” during the session.
“This increases the efficiency of the maintenance of public order, legal rights and interests of citizens, crime detection and prevention, protection of the state interests,” he said.
Belaventsev added that it was needed to pay special attention to the security measures in recreational facilities for children as well as in key transportation facilities during the holiday season.
The head of the Crimean Russian government Sergey Aksenov said that the success of the holiday season “largely depended on the effective implementation of the whole set of actions to ensure public order and safety”. He stressed that it was necessary to ensure the safety of stay of different categories of tourists staying in holiday camps and camping sites or luxurious hotels on the territory of Crimea.
“The holiday season and the investment climate depend on the efficiency of our fight against both street crimes and various actions that disrupt public order,” Aksenov explained.
