The last mobile communications provider leaves Crimea

интертелекомThe mobile communications provider “Intertelecom” suspends the service in the territory of the occupied Crimea. The press-service of the company informs about that.

This announcement is placed on the website of the mobile communications provider.

“Dear Subscribers! We inform you that due to the impossibility to provide communication services on the basis of approval documents issued by Ukraine in Crimea and Sevastopol, the Ukrainian mobile communications provider “Intertelecom” LLC has to suspend providing communication services in this territory from May 1, 2015.  If capable of restoration/continuation of providing communication services after May 1, 2015, “Intertelecom” LLC will continue indicated activity about what it will inform additionally,” the message says.  

With the departure of “Intertelecom” annexed Crimea has no 3G communication in the CDMA standard.

As a reminder, Crimean “authorities” announced formation of a new mobile communications provider “Krymtelecom” in the territory of the peninsula within the nearest 3 months.
