Most of Crimeans are sure that in the season of 2015 the number of tourists will be much higher than it was before the annexation of Crimea. This is shown by opinion poll findings held by the Public Opinion Foundation.

49% of the Crimean population and 59% of Sevastopol residents believe that the tourist flow will increase.

Crimeans call development of the transport communication with Russia (11%) and also stability and safety on the peninsula (8%) the main reasons for increasing the number of visitors.

At the same time, two thirds of the population of the peninsula (67% of Crimeans and 71% of Sevastopol citizens) noted that their income didn’t depend on the tourist season.

The survey was held from April 18 till April 22 through telephone interviews. 1671 respondents in Crimea and 494 respondents in Sevastopol took part in this public opinion poll.
