Property and land parcels are nationalized in Crimea on a massive scale

Gossovet-Kryma2The “State Council” of Crimea adopted the decision on nationalization of property of the Ukrainian mobile communication provider “Kyivstar”, the Yalta film studio, Krymavtotrans enterprise and other facilities at the meeting on February 27. The press-service of the Crimean “parliament” informs about that.

According to the information of the Crimean Field Mission on Human Rights, the property of the Crimean departments of the Ukrainian companies “Farlep-Invest”, “Svit” and “A/S Svyaz”,  forming the telecommunications group “Vega”, the Ukrainian communication provider “Ukrtelecom”, which was located on the territory of the peninsula but wasn’t in the books of the Crimean branch, and also almost 4 MIO of the nominal shares of “The East-Crimean Energy Company” that amounts 46% of its foundation capital have been nationalized. The Crimean “authorities” took away 105 land parcels in the village Semidvore (Alushta), the estate on the Yalta seafront and also a number of other facilities in Crimea.  

The “head” of Crimea Sergey Aksenov promised to stop nationalization in Crimea starting from March 1.
