mtsThe mobile phone provider “MTS Ukraine” corrected a mistake on its webpage and returned the Crimean peninsula to the territory of Ukraine. The company referred to a counterparty error, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

“The incorrect display of the Ukrainian map guide mark on the website of “MTS Ukraine” occurred because of the mistake of the Aiken agency, which supports the website. The error has been corrected promptly. The agency will incur responsibility,” the Facebook message of “MTS Ukraine” says.

The Aiken agency confirmed the mistake has been made and made a pointed reference that they don’t recognize the annexation.

“Draft icons of the network coverage have been automatically and mistakenly uploaded without the written authorization with the client and later the mistake has been corrected manually within 5 minutes after the client’s inquiry. As for responsibility, it’s a subject of the contract, it’s a pity, this has occurred. Aiken and its staff present their apologies for the internet society,” Aiken said.

It was reported earlier that the icon “Connection on the east of Ukraine” has been displayed without the territory of Crimea on the mobile operator’s website.
