Numerous violations of fuel quality were detected in the course of expertise in Crimea. The Fuel and Energy “Minister” Sergey Egorov informed about that at the meeting of the Crimean “Council of Ministers”.
In particular, specialists of the Krasnodar center of standardization and metrology detected violations in 50% of gasoline samples and 85% of diesel fuel samples.
“In June and July, the fuel quality examination was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office of the republic, the Gosstandart (Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology) and Ministry of Fuel and Energy. The results of motor fuel samples examination that was conducted by the Krasnodar center of standardization and metrology showed that only 11 of 23 gasoline samples and 1 of 7 diesel fuel samples met the requirements,” Egorov said.
According to the “Minister”, quality deviations of diesel fuel samples were detected in mass fraction of sulfur, limit temperature of filtration and flash point.
“This points to the fact that diesel fuel is of low quality. In general, this is not diesel fuel – this is LMF (low-viscosity marine fuel),” Egorov said. Sulfur content exceeding was also detected in AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline samples. All examination reports were sent to the “prosecutor’s office” of Crimea.
