рыбачьеResidents of the Rybache village complained on the situation in the resort region to the Russian president Vladimir Putin. They informed about problems in the sewer system resulting in sanitary sewage occurring directly in the sea. The letter was published in the newspaper “Tvoya gazeta”.

“Starting on July 5 till today, crude waste water flows into the sea in the middle of the beach in the Rybache village. There are faeces in the sea and on the shore, it reeks in the water!! Tourists, especially children, suffer from infectious intestinal diseases and leave the village,” angry villagers write to the Russian president.

In addition, residents of this resort village complain about the lack of tourists and the disruption of the holiday season.

“The situation is critical in our village! In Rybache, up to 80% of employable people don’t have a permanent job, and those families that have pensioners are happy. The number of tourists that came in 2015 is just 10% of tourists in 2013, and this means that the village will have no earnings and be “hungry” after the season of 2015. People have no idea how they will survive in winter,” Rybache residents write.

The villagers call local “authorities”, which didn’t show understanding to their problems and “found no direct contact with the village citizens”, main persons responsible for their troubles.

Also local residents put forward the initiative to resume the old tradition of “Petitioners to Putin”.
