According to the all-Crimean population census, there are 774 persons of unemployable age for 1 thousand of working-age population in the “Crimean Federal District”. At the average this index is 623 persons for 1 thousand people in Russia. The head of the Federal State Statistics Service Aleksandr Surinov said that at the press conference in Yalta, Kryminform reports.
“Dependency ratio is the ratio between dependants and breadwinners. Dependants are considered by convention to be the population that is younger or older than working age. This index (in Crimea) is significantly higher than in the Russian Federation and the neighboring Krasnodar region,” the Rosstat head said.
In Crimea there are 780 unemployables for 1 thousand of working-age population, in Sevastopol – 749. In this case, only 294 persons of population, which is not capable of working, are children and 480 – people over working age.
The highest working load is in Dzhankoy, Saky, Feodosia and Kirovsky district, the lowest one is in Simferopol, Pervomaysky and Simferopol districts.
As a reminder, according to the conducted census, the number of women is 18% greater than the number of men in Crimea.
