In Crimea tariffs increased starting July 1

In Crimea, electricity, water and gas tariffs are increased for the population starting from July 1.

Gas rates increased by 10% for those consumers, who use less than 6 thousand cubic meters of gas a year, and now amount to 3225 rubles per thousand cubic meters of gas (1213 hryvnyas at the NBU exchange rate). The gas price for the population with annual consumption of more than 6 thousand cubic meters of gas per year will remain at the same level – 8267 rubles per thousand cubic meters of gas (3110 hryvnyas at the NBU exchange rate).

Water and electricity also will rise in price by 15% starting from July 1.

With consumption of electricity of up to 150 kWh per month, the tariff will be 1.44 rubles per kilowatt / hour that is 19 kopecks more than the current rate. With consumption of 150 to 800 kWh, the tariff is 1.88 rubles (price rise is by 24 kopecks). With consumption of more than 800 kWh per month, the new tariff rate will be 4.95 rubles (that is 64 kopecks more).  

As a reminder, according to the Crimean “authorities”, today tariffs in Crimea match the economically justified tariffs only by 60%.
