Crimean taxi services increase prices because of the need to equip the cars with special child seats in accordance with the Russian traffic rules. Krym. Realii informs about that.
Innovations are related to the fact that the Russian Patrol-Guard Service began to track the drivers, who carry children not by the rules.
“It is lasting already for several weeks… The Patrol-Guard Service officers literally scan every car, when you are driving by. No one wants to pay a fine of three thousand rubles. So everyone had to buy child safety seats. But it means expenses, so they were included in the fare. For example, I use my own safety seat, because I have a child,” one of the taxi drivers said.
Simferopol taxi services just raised the tariffs, but in Kerch, a new service was introduced – the “child seat”, the price of which is 100 rubles (40 hryvnyas at the exchange rate of the NBU). Accordingly, a fare for a taxi ride with a special child seat will be starting from 200 rubles (80 hryvnyas) in Kerch. Previously, such a ride cost half as much.
As a reminder, on March 20, the “State Council” of Crimea adopted the Law “On organization of public transport services using taxi cars in the Republic of Crimea” that established new rules for taxi services.
