Every fifth Crimean student decided to leave the peninsula and acquire a full-fledged Ukrainian degree certificate. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine informs about that in response to the Krym.Reallii request.
In general, almost 8 thousand students transferred from Crimea to the universities located in mainland Ukraine.
“According to the data of the Common state electronic database, in the matter of education 7977 students, 4254 of which are full time students, have been transferred from the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to the educational institutions of I – IV levels of accreditation within 2014-2015,” the ministry informed.
According to the ministry, there were 36 educational institutions of I-IV level of accreditation, where more than 38 thousand students studied, in Crimea before the annexation.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decree that provided additional state-funded places in Ukrainian higher educational institutions for students from Crimea.
