Sevastopol can’t make outlook for surplus budget, because the share of subsidies is too high. The newspaper Svezhaya gazeta reports that.
The deputy governor of Sevastopol Aleksey Eremeyev informed that the city receives 2/3 of required funds from Moscow.
They plan to come out of such red by creating a free economic zone.
“In January-February 2015, summarizing the working results of industrial enterprises of Sevastopol, output of products was 129% as compared with January-February 2014. It is clear that we need to increase economic and taxable capacity of the city in order to accomplish the task of surplus budget. We are already engaged in these activities,” he said.
Eremeyev specified that surplus budget is put in the development strategy of Sevastopol until 2030.
“But, it seems to me that any economist can’t predict when there will be surplus budget to a high degree of accuracy,” the official said.
As a reminder, the head of Simferopol administration hopes to have surplus budget already next year.
