Simferopol authorities refused the Crimean Tatar public activists to hold the rally devoted to the Crimean Tatar Flag Day on June 26. The event organizers informed about that on June 5, the media 15 minutes reports.
The answer received from the Simferopol city administration says that holding the rally “is not possible, because the specified route involves moving on the territory of other settlements in the Republic of Crimea”.
As it was reported, the activists were refused to hold the festive events devoted to the Flag Day. So, for example, first the activists were planning to organize the Crimean Tatar Flag Day in the Simferopol micro-district Fontany on June 26. However, Simferopol authorities denied them permission to hold the event. The denial was based on the fact that another youth organization has already filed the notice to organize the Flag Day. After that the public activists decided to re-apply to the Simferopol city administration to hold the event not on June 26 but on June 27.
