Moscow-Simferopol train route is unpopular, being unprofitable at the same time. The Crimean “minister” of transport Andriy Bezsalah announced that, Krym.Realii reports.
“Moscow-Simferopol train loading is not more than 60% today, in the peak season, and its losses amounted to 380 million rubles for the six months. To my mind, this train should be remained, but it requires to be subsidized, because not everyone can afford to travel by air,” Bezsalah said.
Tickets for the Moscow-Simferopol train that goes bypassing Ukraine through the Kerch Strait ferry line started to be sold on July 19, 2014.
