The border guards detained three Crimean Tatar human rights activists near Armyansk. The Crimean Field Mission on Human Rights informs about that on its Facebook page.

According to recent reports, today around four o’clock in the morning, three coordinators of the committee on Crimean Tatar Rights Protection Eskender Bariyev, Sinaver Kadyrov and Abmedzhit Suleymanov were detained on the Russian border crossing checkpoint in Armyansk. As explained by detained activists, they took away the keys, locked them in their own car and informed that they would stay inside until the arrival of some officer, who would question them.

Later, two of them, Eskender Bariyev and Abmedzhit Suleymanov, were allowed to leave Crimea. Sinaver Kadyrov stayed in Crimea.

“The Russian border guards accused him of exceeding the period of stay in the Russian Federation. Sinaver Kadyrov said them that he had documents proving that he was heading to Turkey for medical advisement and demonstrated his tickets,” Zarema Bariyeva, Eskender’s wife, informed.

According to her, Sinaver Kadyrov said that he was ready to file a request to carry over hearing of the case about exceeding the period of his stay whereas it was necessary to go abroad for health reasons. He was refused, being proposed to go to the court in the city of Armyansk and file this request there. At that time, he went to the court of Armyansk.
