Crimean drivers announced that they can’t equip buses in accordance with new rules

автобусIn Sevastopol bus drivers announced that they can’t afford to equip buses in accordance with new passenger carriage requirements. E-Krym informs about that.

Starting from July 1, “authorities” of the city implement new standards because of which transportation of children will be impossible. According to the new requirements, buses should be equipped with GlONASS system, tachographs, passengers seats should have safety belts. Time in commission should not exceed 10 years.

“It is necessary to take up the matter with our government and government of Russia that Crimea should be retained at least in summer in order not to sabotage passenger transportation. Because we will all take the fall,” the transportation enterprise’s director Phillip Shevchuk stated. 

He added that financial feasibility of enterprises does not allow to fulfill requirements on transportation of children. Besides that, transportation carriers intend to raise the question of the fee cost increase.
