Crimea doesn’t purchase electricity from Ukraine and there is a Russian subsidized tariff valid for the peninsula. The “minister” of Fuel and Energy of Crimea Sergey Egorov informed about that, TASS reports.
“Crimea is a part of the Russian Federation. Agreements between Ukraine and Russia were signed at the level of Inter RAO and Ukrinterenergo state-owned companies. Crimea doesn’t pay money directly to Ukraine, we have a subsidized Russian tariff,” Egorov said.
As a reminder, Ukraine has raised electricity prices by 14% for Crimea.
