Companies producing alcoholic beverages left the peninsula by moving their production facilities to other regions of the Russian Federation. The “chairman” of the “State Council’s” Committee of Crimea on economic, fiscal and tax policy Vitaly Nahlupin announced that at the press conference, Krym Media informs.
In the deputy’s opinion, the main reason for companies to leave Crimea is the strict federal legislation regarding alcoholic beverages. That’s why the producers have much to gain from developing their business in Russian regions with more loyal legislation. According to Nahlupin, in particular, some companies have moved their facilities to Tatarstan, where there is “a prompt response to requests of manufacturers of this product”.
Nahlupin said that the exit of alcohol companies would have a negative impact on the economy of the peninsula, because half of the regional budget was formed due to excise taxes levied on alcohol-containing products.
