Investigative Committee prohibited activists to leave Crimea

img_4333The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Crimea prohibited the head of the Central Electoral Commission of Kurultai Zair Smedlyaev and the first deputy head of the Mejlis Nariman Dzhelyalov to leave the territory of the peninsula for the duration of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars in Ankara. Zair Smedlyaev wrote about that on his Facebook page.   

“We are invited for questioning in order to prevent us from going to Ankara and attending the World Congress of Crimean Tatars. Ilmi Umerov is invited for tomorrow, me and Nariman Dzhelyal – for August 1,” he wrote.
