Initially, a photographer Martin Lemay depictured a flight of a weasel mounted on a woodpecker. According to the photographer, together with his wife they were walking along the Hornchurch Country Park, when the woman noticed some motion and noise in the grass. The married couple aimed their binoculars in that direction and saw the woodpecker being attacked by the weasel was jumping in the grass. The man grabbed his camera at once.
