According to certain mass media of the peninsula, Crimea has been already recognized by Europe and sanctions have been lifted. Also the attention of the Crimean mass media was focused on the salary collapse that always has extraordinary recipes to overcome it: our own Chapaev and tribunal are required. National government press writes about that.
Last week The Mirror of Crimea made a sensational discovery. The European Union had hardly announced the introduction of new sanctions against Russia and the terrorists from Donbass on January 9, when the media informed the whole peninsula – we should hold on and that “Europe has already confirmed the “removal” of sanctions: the EU leaders decided not to discuss new sanctions against the Russian Federation at the informal summit in Brussel. The reason is the agreement reached in Minsk.”
The same story is with the recognition of Crimea: “Europe has recognized Crimea as the Russian territory and is going to argue on this subject no longer and Kiev was just advised to “shut the mouth.” The arguments are very simple and childlike unpretentious, by contradiction: “What has not been said? (in negotiations in Minsk – the author’s note). Firstly, the issue of Crimea has been never raised; Poroshenko didn’t even remember Krymnash; the representatives of Germany and France also didn’t demand of Putin to return the peninsula. What does that mean? It means that Europe recognized Crimea as the Russian territory and is going to argue on this subject no longer.” It remains a mystery even for Crimeans where the journalists find such sensational information.
The current “head” of the Republic and former military Sergey Aksenov promised the “Crimean tribunal” for all disreputable officials, probably, in order to save on trials. According to the Krymskie izvestiya, Aksenov removed the head of the enterprise Krym Farmatsiya and the “State committee” of veterinary medicine from post without hesitation at the recent session of the “Council of Ministers” of Crimea and at the same time exposed the “fraudulent schemes”. The tribunal came into play.
The elusive salary is the top news of January in Crimea. The newspaper Krymskie izvestiya also says about that. The Minister of Finance Vladimir Levandovskiy reported at the already mentioned session of the “Council of Ministers” that “the salary was fully paid only in 81 state institutions at that time and the employees of 219 state institutions were still waiting for it. The same situation was at the municipal level: only 8 from 25 regions paid off their state employees.” The minister promised in the face of the tribunal: “we are working on this problem trying to solve it as quickly as possible.” As a comment to this, the Krymskie izvestiya writes: “But they still take! Lie and take. Scrounge. Rob. Steal without any scruples. It is because there is no Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev for them! However, he alone wouldn’t be enough for all of them…” the newspaper of the Parliament of the Republic sums up. That’s it.
“There is an awkward situation with the salaries,” the newspaper Krymskaya Pravda observes talking about the payments in the field of education. Natalya Goncharova, who is the “Minister” of Education of Crimea, reports that there are educational institutions, where the salaries for January have not been paid at all for the present: “As for 1103 schools and kindergartens, the employees of just 474 institutions got the salaries.” “The Minister assured” that these figures changed in real time every hour and the debts would be liquidated in the near future. It is clear, otherwise Chapay will come.
The story with nationalization that the media Pod Pricelom wrote earlier about logically ended with adding the Crimean branch of PJSC “Ukrtelecom” to the property of the Republic. In this regard, the words of Aksenov, the main person conducting the nationalization, are optimistic: “We are going to cancel the procedure of nationalization itself starting from March 1, we will terminate it by the decision of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea to prevent the investors from being worrying that such a measure could be applied against them. This is a coercive measure introduced for a certain period.” Perhaps, the prospective investors suffer from amnesia without exception.
At the same time, Krymskaya Pravda states that “it is far from being the first asset of the Ukrainian oligarchs nationalized by the Russian authorities of the peninsula. But it is the second case of nationalization, which was documented in the legal field of Russia, already after the official end of the transition period. And despite the historical popularity of the “expropriation of the expropriators”, the legality of actions generates doubts.”
As usual, only the “chairman” of the State Council of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov has no reasons to be upset. In spite of the fact that according to the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Aleksey Ulyukaev, “the Russian budget incomes will decrease on 2.34 trillion rubles this year,” Konstantinov expects the unprecedented economic growth. “The development rate of the construction industry in Crimea increased by many times, we expect to get huge investments and there are already not enough labour resources,” Kryminform quotes the chairman of the “State Council”. In the words of the “speaker”, Crimea already experiences a labour shortage in this industry, so it is necessary to bring the experts from other regions of Russia. “Now we can’t find specialists in the construction industry, we can’t hire them because everyone already has a job. And it is necessary to bring people from the mainland.” Even Ostap Bender would envy such the prospects of New Crimea.
There are equally promising news in the culture of drinking. Amid the reports about the seizure of Massandra by the self-defense forces and the partial shutdown of the enterprise Solnechnaya dolina, the online media Informer raises the hopes. The article with the optimistic title “The sanctions won’t kill us!” informs that there will be patriotic vodka “Telnyashka” in the Crimean stores. The competitor of the sophisticated muscat bouquet of Massandra will be the Alcohol Siberian Group that made arrangements with the Crimean Vodka Company for lunching process of the new vodka “Telnyashka” on the peninsula. The first installment of products has already come in the market.
Now is the time to remember Chapaev:
‘Vasily Ivanovich, what does privatization mean?’
‘For example, we stole a tank cistern of samogon, so now it is not a theft but privatization!’
‘It is great! But what if someone stole it from us?’
‘Then it would be extremism!’
