The students, who obtained the university diplomas in a format, which is not provided for by the Ukrainian Law, on the occupied territory, have an opportunity to exchange them for the same one that will be legitimate. Mustafa Dzhemilev wrote about that on his Facebook page.
As a result of negotiations between the Ministry of Education and the Mejlis, this one and some other issues were agreed.
“All graduates, who obtained a document certifying a higher education in a format, which is not provided for by the Ukrainian Law, on the occupied territory of Ukraine in 2014, have an opportunity to obtain the same document, which will be as required by the Law of Ukraine, by sending the application with the added copies of passport and document certifying a higher education obtained on the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to the email address of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine,” the Presidential Commissioner on Crimean Tatar Affairs reports.
In addition, the students, who wish to transfer from the universities located in the occupied territory to the universities in the mainland Ukraine, will be provided with state-funded places. The transfer to another university should be performed not later than March 1.
