Human rights activists suggested to use documents issued by the occupational authorities in Crimea as a basis. The head of Center for Civic Education “Almenda” Olga Skripnyk informed about that at the press-conference in Kiev.
“Legislation should be changed as this situation is solvable. These documents can be exchanged for analogical ones in Ukraine: the Russian patterns should be exchanged for Ukrainian ones,” the expert noted.
Experts also reminded that nowadays there are problems with documents from Crimea because all of them are declared invalid automatically.
During the discussion it has been also suggested to follow the Georgian experience whereby documents issued by occupational authorities are taken as a basis, in other words, it is not their validity but only their data, which are acknowledged.
