Crimea continues to liquidate European products

Rosselkhoznadzor’s inspectors seized imported products prohibited to import – 120 kg of Lithuanian pears and 25 kg of Polish iceberg lettuce, the agency’s press service reports.    

уничтожение фрукты“It turned out that an entrepreneur had 25 kg of Polish iceberg lettuce and 120 kg of pears exported by Lithuania according to their labeling. The owner didn’t provide any covering documents for these products,” the message says.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, the seized products have been liquidated on the Simferopol SMW landfill by burial.

In July of 2015, the president of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a decree to liquidate products prohibited from being imported into the country (food embargo).

As a reminder, three tons of banned cheese and sausages were liquidated in August in Yalta.
