On October 28, the ferry boat “Varyag” will go from annexed Sevastopol to the Turkish port Zonguldak again.
The director of the LLC “Crimean maritime agency” Stanislav Gvozdilov informed about that, the enterprise’s press service reports.
“The resumption of ferry routes occurs due to the warming of relations between Russia and Turkey. The ferry boat “Varyag” will make the first voyage from Sevastopol to Zonguldak at 16:00 tomorrow. These voyages will be made 4 times a month,” Gvozdilov said.
According to the director, ferry services include the cargo shipping. It is planned to ship the food, construction materials, fruits and vegetables.
The ferry services between Crimea and Turkey were suspended in December of 2015 after the deterioration of Russian and Turkish relations because of a Russian military plane shot down in Turkey. In the summer of 2016, Ankara and Moscow renewed economic relations.
