The Commission of the Yalta ‘City Council’ recognized the demolition of the building, because of which the local businessman set himself on fire, illegal, Primechaniya informed.
The ‘deputy’ Andrey Yakovenko reported during the session that the right to the land for the café was declared illegally because of improper implementation of legislation, although the café rented this land legally and paid taxes.
“By using their administrative power, officials of the Yalta administration and the municipal unitary enterprise “Joint Management Company” prepared documents indicating that Selyamiyeva M. (the wife of the man who died – Ed.) didn’t have ownership rights to the leased property with no grounds,” the Commission stated.
As a reminder, on September 2, the pensioner from Yalta set himself on fire near the Primorsky beach to protest against the decision of local ‘authorities’ to demolish his café. The businessman died of the received injuries. The case under the Article of incitement to suicide was opened regarding the self-immolation of the 75-year-old businessman.
