The “Supreme Court” of occupied Crimea ordered to recognize the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people as an extremist organization and banned its activity.
Kryminform reports about that.
“The lawsuit of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Crimea against a certain circle of people should be satisfied. The organization called the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people should be recognized as an extremist organization and its activity should be banned,” the judge Natalya Terentyeva read out.
According to her, this decision may be appealed within a month.
The claim to recognize the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people as an extremist organization to the “Supreme Court” of Crimea was initiated by the “prosecutor” Natalya Poklonskaya on this February 15. On April 13, Natalya Poklonskaya issued a decision to suspend the activity of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people. On April 19, the Russian Ministry of Justice included the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people to the list of organization, “the activity of which was suspended because of their extremist activities”.
