In January and February of 2015, volume of trade between Ukraine and Crimea that was occupied by Russia amounted to more than 100 million dollars. This was reported on the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
In particular, goods for a total amount of 96.5 million dollars were received from the mainland. Products for a total amount of 4 million dollars were exported from the occupied territory.
In August 2014 the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law on creation of the free economic zone in the temporary occupied territory.
