Trudolyubovka villagers are outraged that the quarry will be created near their village in the Bakhchisaray raion. They sent relevant complaints to the Crimean ‘government’ and ‘the prosecutor’s office’, the local new portal Kryminform reported.
“The representatives of the LLC “Bakhchisaray quarry production-operational enterprise “Agropromenergo” came to our Trudolyubovka village and informed us that 226 hectares of land were allocated for them having showed us the “Subsoil License”. According to the “Land plot layout” and their actions on the setting out the borders of the land plot, the quarry will be on our vegetable gardens. How can you live if there is a quarry, where crushed stones are extracted by explosion drilling methods, 20 meters away from your house? Everything is done in secret. There were no public hearings held. The employees of the enterprise don’t want to speak with us,” the villagers wrote.
According to the ‘Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources’ of Crimea Gennady Narayev, it is referred only to conducting the geological exploration works. The official said that the environmental impact assessment, the mining license and a wide range of approvals, including the one from the local ‘administration’, would be needed for quarrying operations.
However, the villagers inform that there are intensive activities carried out near the village: forest corridors are made, a new transmission line was installed, a transforming substation was connected and the heavy mining equipment was brought.
The LLC “Bakhchisaray quarry production-operational enterprise “Agropromenergo” was registered in Simferopol. The LLC “Yalta Invest Stroy” (the owner is the Moscow LLC “Synergy”) has 50% of the company, its director Elmar Mustafayev – 40%, the LLC “Mir Odin” – 10%.
