аэропорт1In the night of June 12, the sewer pipes broke down at the airport “Simferopol”, Krym Media reports.

According to a passenger flying from Simferopol that night and a source at the airport, the fire safety system failed on-site, it went off without reason and as a result, the terminal A that was opened a month ago started to be filled with water.

Furthermore, the sewer pipes broke down at this terminal later in the night. The sewage disposals were at the airport hall, all passengers were transferred to the terminal B. It caused the increased load and long queues.

As a reminder, on May 9 two terminals were opened at once in the Simferopol airport. The terminal B started to operate after the reconstruction and the new terminal A began to serve the passengers. The complex that was opened after the four-month reconstruction still works in test mode. In future, it is planned to build another terminal.
